Lukas
Sets Multiple CYO Records Haley Lukas, sixth grade, had quite the weekend to remember as she accomplished her goal of setting a CYO record. However, she took it a step further when she set two records. Lukas, who is in middle school, won he 200m and the 400m races at the Oakland Diocese CYO Championships over the weekend. Lukas ran the 200m dash in a time of 27.13 which broke the previous record of 27.20 set in 1999. In the 400m dash, she won the event with a time of 60.73 which shattered the previous record of 63.50 set in 1989. __________________________________________ Cotton Sets 5th Grade 400-m CYO Record In her first season of track and field, Olivia Cotton has had quite a ride so far over the last month as she not only won the 5th Grade Girls 400-m race; she broke the Oakland Diocese Championship meet record with a time of 1:05.12. Cotton also won the girls 400-m dash at the Citywide Youth Track
meet in San Jose with a time of 1:07.69 on May 18th. She will
also be racing as part of Team San Jose in the Nor Cal Hershey
State track Meet on June 14th. |
Athenians to Compete at AAU Qualifying

Athenian Athletics is proud to announce that we will be competing at the 2008 AAU National Qualifying meet on June 13-14. The top four finishers in each event will qualify for the National Junior Olympic Games Meet in Detroit, MI.
